ISKILDE“Iskilde” means “cold spring” in Danish. The artesian spring was discovered in the Mossø Conservation area in a remote part of the Danish lake high lands. The aquifer from which the spring flows lays 150 -180 ft below the surface and is covered by alternating layers of quartz-sand and hard clay. The age of the water dates back to the last ice-age according to the Danish geological society (over 20,000 years and considered vintage water). With a temperature of below 8 degrees, the spring is unusually cold. DESIGNDesigned by the renowned Danish designer, Jesper Mathiesen, the bottle is discreet, elegant, and functional. The bottle has a long, narrow neck mini mising the water’s exposure to the air and ensuring the unique taste of water is retained. Iskilde packaging has been voted as one of the most original and creative in the premium waters industry. TASTEThe water of ISKILDE is slightly alkaline, which gives it a slightly sweet taste. Based on its content of calcium and other ions the water is fairly hard, but due to the fine bubbles of oxygen the water has a very soft and silky taste. |
